Swordwind is currently host to two annual tournaments. We are also active in our community by participating in outreach opportunities as they arise. If you are interested in having Swordwind at one of your events, please don't hesitate to contact us!

We are most grateful to those who kindly donate time, money, or gear to Swordwind in support of our students and our events. Swordwind cannot thank you enough!

Queen's Gambit is a 3-day event where practitioners of many fencing schools come together to learn, socialize, and compete. This year we are pleased to offer sidesword in addition to our regular longsword and cutting tournaments.  We provide a variety of classes taught by leading national instructors, and space to spar in a non-competitive environment. Check out gear from some of the leading HEMA supplies. Cap your experience with a dinner and dance that doubles as our award ceremony. (*This is a PHFL event.)

Hosted at the farm and lumber mill of one of our students, Iron Harvest is a more casual event. It is a weekend dedicated to the technique of cutting tatami with live steel, and the importance of cutting relevant to historical European martial arts. We offer classes in proper cutting technique with personalized feedback, followed by a cutting competition. Fun for the whole family, we have a variety of activities for those not active in the HEMA community. (*This is NOT a PHFL event.)
